Village History

Village Hall

Dunshalt Village Hall was built in 1841 by Dunshalt Mutual Improvement Society at a time when the village was expanding rapidly. It remains today as the beating heart of the community.

Village Park

The Village Park has seen many changes over the years. At the end of a six year process involving local community, local authority and local businesses the new Playpark was completed in 2025.

Dunshalt in Bloom

Every year a dedicated group of volunteers plant and maintain the community garden, plots and planters around the village. The village is the holder of a Beautiful Fife Gold Award.

Since the early days of Dunshalt Mutual Improvement Society in the 1820's the village has been proudly self supporting. The current body, Dunshalt Community Association, was formed in 1977.
